Go With Yer Gut Intuitive Parenting Classes

WELCOME!!!

Go With Your Gut Intuitive Parenting Skills

It is our joyful mission to provide a network and knowledge base for parents who want to embark on a natural journey with their growing families.  Sadly, today’s parents are often bombarded with and overwhelmed by advice on how best to grow, birth, and raise their babies.  Sometimes this endless advice can muddy a new or even a seasoned parents intuition. It is our belief that each baby has unique needs, and that each parent has the innate inner knowing on how best to respond to these needs.  Join us for classes to equip yourself with the empowering knowledge about birth and beyond that is often not discussed in mainstream baby books and doctor’s offices.

-All classes EXCEPT workshops are held in baby/child friendly environments.

-All classes will be held at Unity Temple on the Plaza (707 W 47th St, KCMO 64112) on Fridays from 5:00-6:30, unless otherwise noted.  Please gather in the main entrance lobby ten minutes before class time.

-Contact Amy Bousman at 913-624-4159 or herbsfromtheburbs@yahoo.com with any questions or to register for classes.

Following Baby's Lead; Breastfeeding My Baby

***Class is held on Saturdays from 9:30-11:30 on May 9, August 15, and November 7***

The key to success in breastfeeding is achieving a perfect latch, which will lead to painless breastfeeding. How do we do that? What are the common breastfeeding myths that can interrupt the breastfeeding relationship? CIRCUMCISION - What Your Doctor May Not Tell You

This class will cover the history, beliefs, methods and attitudes of today's parents towards circumcision.   In addition, it will give you the foundation for understanding the purpose and function of the foreskin and the knowledge to make a more educated decision.
Mark Wills:  “As a father of two boys, it (circumcision) was a decision we were pressured to make before leaving the hospital.  Falling for the myths and misinformation that circulate, we had our first son circumcised.  However, before the second son was born, we educated ourselves on the subject and decided to leave him intact.  Since then I have read countless books, thousands of articles, hosted booths on genital integrity and have openly spoken with parents and health care professionals.”
